Originally from Columbiana, Alabama, Mrs. Pendergraft has continued to make her way into larger and larger markets as she advances her career. She called Chattanooga along with the Chattanooga News Free Press her home for 16 years. As an integral part of the organization, Barbara was Systems Coordinator and Staff Accountant specializing in financial reporting and fixed assets.

As Controller at Taz Anderson Realty Company, Barbara performs many roles in the following areas: accounting, payroll, and human resources. She is Taz Anderson Realty’s “left hand” and a vital member to the team.

She is a dedicated member of the community; her civic involvement includes serving as a member of the Austell Planning & Zoning for two years and is currently Chairman. In addition, Barbara is past president of the American Society of Women Accountants for the Chattanooga and Atlanta chapters.

A native Atlantan and Georgia Tech management graduate, Beau played on the Georgia Tech football team. Mr. Bruce brings over 28 years of experience in design, development and construction to the Taz Anderson Realty Team.

During Beau’s early years as a Project Manager he was heavily focused on the commercial and industrial projects with Brooks Erection and Construction Company in St. Louis, Missouri and with E.S.I. Inc. of Tennessee. He developed a vast working knowledge of general contracting and complete design build developments.

In 1999 Mr. Bruce joined the real estate industry with Kairos Development Corporation while simultaneously diving into the world of entrepreneurship by establishing Bruce & Bruce, Inc. Over the last seven years Beau has been the Director of Construction and Development for some award-winning residential and commercial mixed use projects in metro Atlanta.

Mr. Anderson started his career as a naval officer following his graduation from the Naval Academy in 1987. While at the Academy he played on the Navy football team and was a platoon commander. During his tour at the Academy, Anderson was awarded an MBA in 1994 at George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

In 1994 Anderson was hired by the E&J Gallo Winery in Modesto, California as an Assistant Marketing Manager for the company’s domestic E&J Brandy product. This lead to his appointment as the Marketing Director for Gallo’s Latin American division where Anderson worked for two years handling the sales and marketing for the company’s entire product line in the Caribbean, Mexico, Central and South America.

Anderson left Gallo to work for Schieffelin & Somerset as the Director of Marketing for the Western Region of the United States. During his tenure with S&S, Anderson worked with both corporate marketing and field sales to develop marketing and advertising programs for brands that accounted for $350 million in sales annually.

In 1999 Anderson left Schieffelin & Somerset to work for the Taz Anderson Realty Company. Anderson is a licensed Realtor and Broker.

Anderson was born in Savannah, Georgia and was honored in the top ten outstanding seniors in Savannah High class and named All-City, All-State, and South All-Star co-captain in football. In 1974 he was inducted into the Greater Savannah Hall of Fame, and in 2000, named one of five football Athletes of the Century.

A 1961 graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management, Anderson was a standout on the Georgia Tech Football Team during the Bobby Dodd coaching era and was Alt-captain in 1960.  Anderson is a member of the Georgia Tech Athletic Hall of Fame and remains active with his alma mater.  Just a few of his special projects include:  co-founder of the Yellow Jacket Alumni Clubs, Chairman of the Marketing Committee of the Georgia Tech Athletic Association Board of Trustees for over 10 years, and a member of every fundraising committee of the Athletic Association for over 40 years. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Bobby Dodd Coach of the year Foundation that annually honors the outstanding Head Football coach in Division 1.

Anderson went on to play in the National Football League for the St. Louis Cardinals and Atlanta Falcons from 1961 to 1967.  He was honored as Rookie of the Year in 1961 while playing with the Cardinals. He was later a 2006 inductee into the State of Georgia Sports Hall of Fame and continues to serve on its development committee.

In 1963, while in St. Louis, Anderson began his professional real estate career, which has always been the base for his many ventures in advertising and technology. Since 1963, he has been directly involved in the development, marketing, and sales of commercial real estate, including retail, resort, and office developments in excess of $450 million dollars. Beginning in 1975, Anderson developed 10 neighborhood shopping centers ranging from 50,000 – 175,000 s.f. in Atlanta and Virginia. In partnership, Anderson assembled 21 acres at the intersection of Peachtree and Piedmont Roads in 1985 which was later purchased by The Prudential Life Insurance Company, at that time the largest land deal ever sold in metro Atlanta.

In the resort real estate arena, Taz, Kim King, and Fletcher Bright of Chattanooga renovated and developed a 316-unit condo/marina project on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

In 1985, working with Athletic Director Homer Rice, Anderson created the expansion concept of Georgia Tech’s Alexander Coliseum and served as developer of the project to increase the functionality of the arena from 6,500 to 10,000 seats. The project was completed on time and in budget and has served as the site for many exciting Georgia Tech basketball moments.

In 1992, Anderson expanded his business ventures to large, spectacular displays.  He designed, built, and marketed four spectacular outdoor advertising displays in the metro Atlanta area and four in south Georgia including the Georgia Tech Message Center, the first four-color message display for interstate travel.  He also developed Georgia’s largest and most spectacular high school scoreboards in Albany, Augusta, Macon and Savannah, Georgia.

With the approach of the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta, Anderson formed Multi-Media Technologies, Inc. and developed two rooftop landmarks in Downtown Atlanta known as The Peaches.  Located at both the north and south entrance of Atlanta, these icons form the entrance to the City. Multi-Media also developed the world’s largest outdoor advertising display in downtown Atlanta. Now referred to as the “Giant Wall Display”, this 55 by 60 foot tri-vision panel wall can been seen by commuters from miles away.

In keeping with the Olympic spirit, Anderson formed Centennial Tower, Inc. in 1995 to develop a 12-story Tower that resembled the Olympic Torch but used a replica of the Statue of Liberty flame at the cauldron.  Complete with an observation deck 105 feet up and a souvenir store at the base, the Tower was a welcome attraction to tourists during and after the Olympics.  The Tower was a very successful advertising icon for  Sprint PCS Tower which utilized the structure for retail sales and promotions.

With the success he has achieved with outdoor advertising, Anderson formed Tazmedia Group in 1997, which serves as a trade name for all of his outdoor advertising companies.  Anderson serves as Chairman of Tazmedia Group, and continues to manage the innovative outdoor advertising properties.

In 1999 Anderson formed Immersion Entertainment, LLC. to develop a new technology concept in wireless networking. The company began the commercialization of the concept with several NASCAR, NCAA, MLBB, NFL events and conducted demonstrations with the PGA. The company currently holds multiple U.S. Australian, Canadian, European, and Chinese Patents covering 2 billion people, for a wireless location-based network which allows viewing of multiple video and audio content at various entertainment venues, as well as a portfolio of other patent applications dealing with wireless entertainment.

Anderson is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Georgia World Congress Center, responsible for marketing one million square feet of exhibition and convention space and manages 200 acres in downtown Atlanta.

His current project is a 2.71-acre property overlooking the skyline of Atlanta. His company is marketing The Aberdeen, an $80 million dollar luxury condominium development in the Vinings area of Northwest Atlanta.
